We discovered The Plantation Inn Bed and Breakfast by accident. We were staying at another Maui Bed and Breakfast and we were just walking around Lahaina and discovered Gerard’s Restaurant. We made reservations for another night, but took a tour through The Plantation Inn.
It has nearly 20 rooms and each one is different. It’s really like a small hotel. The pool area is beautiful, and the entire place is like a garden. This was our first Maui vacation, and we had decided on one of the lesser expensive B&Bs from the Maui Bed and Breakfast listing on a web site.
We both liked the way it was furnished and the way it looked like old Hawaii. It seemed to fit with the old town of Lahaina.
My favorite room of those that we could see was the Lahaina Room. It looked so comfortable, and I just wanted to plop down in the bed an take a nap. The other rooms were just as nice, but furnished differently. There were four suites, too.
We had our dinner at Gerard’s Restaurant later in the week, and it was a great dinner. Brendan said that on our next Maui vacation we should stay at the Plantation Inn. We finished our dinner, then took a walk, then came back and booked a room a full year in advance. We had never done anything like that before.
I didn’t have any second thoughts or regrets, though it was more expensive than some of the others. I just wanted to come back.
