Honolulu Harbor
Honolulu Harbor (view map) is located right next to the Aloha Tower Marketplace. Every day many people come to the harbor because many ocean cruises depart from here. Also, the marketplace is a great place to go shopping for local residents and tourists alike because there are many unique shops and several good restaurants.
If you visit the harbor for the first time, it might be easy to overlook one of the best things to see here… the beautiful tropical fish that live right in the harbor. It’s amazing that in a busy city harbor like this one the water can be so crystal clear. To see the fish, go to the wall near the main entrance, right in front of the cruise ship “Star of Honolulu.”
In front of the wall are also a couple of signs that explain, which types of tropical fish can be seen here. When you look over the wall, you can see some beautiful corals sparkling in all shades and colors and surrounding them even more colorful fish, big and small. Scroll down this page and you will see what I am talking about ![]()

All of the images above are taken from the Honolulu Harbor fish lookout. Some of these pictures look like they have been taken while snorkeling, from an underwater perspective. But in reality, we stood on the sidewalk and took the pictures while looking over the wall. That’s how clear the water at the Honolulu Harbor is ![]()
