Bishop Square in downtown Honolulu

1

My dream has always been to come to Hawaii. I remember when I first was introduced (so to say) to the Internet, my first impulse was to search for Hawaii photos, and I did so. I remember the first pics that came up on the web were images from the Bishop Square in Honolulu. I liked it so much, so I printed those and put them under the glass of my desk in my room. I said to myself “One day I will go there”. And I really did. Here I am now in Hawaii with a dream that came true. I know one thing, when there is a wish, there is a way.

I used to work in the area of Bishop Square so I was passing by every day at least once. Often times I sat under the big trees there and ate lunch.

Bishop Square is very peaceful especially during the weekends. I passed by today and took some shots.

Just this summer the Mahomet-Seymour Marching Bulldogs from Illinois played in Bishop Square. My favorite part was the beautiful fountains where I relaxed and listened to the music. We were there June 2008
