Alii Gardens Marketplace at a Glance
Surrounded by a beautiful garden setting with native Hawaiian
flora and fauna, and across from a relaxing beach, the Alii
Garden Marketplace is a lovely place to stroll and shop.
You'll find locals hanging out, as well as good deals offered
by the merchants and local farmer. It is also a great place
to try local foods and cool down with a shaved ice. With
more than 50 merchants carrying handmade products and fresh
produce, you'll find local art, jewelry, fresh Hawaiian
flowers, and Koa wood . Kona coffee is also found here,
as it is grown down the road from the market.
Some of the shops you'll enjoy are: Jill's Hot Stuff (Toe
Thongs and rings for your feet), The Pearl Store (Black
Pearls and Koa Wood products), Oates Kona Cofee (100% Kona
Coffee from the Big Island), Wood Rose Kona Coffee (Kona
Coffee and other goodies), Nani Lanakila Po'ohala (chopsticks,
lavamen, wooden motorcycles, cars with surfboards).
Entertainment includes daily Na Kapuna Hula dancing, free
ukulele lessons, lei making, ukulele jam sessions and other
cultural events. If you are looking for water sports, you
will find places for snorkel rental gear here. When you
are done shopping at the Alii Gardens Marketplace, you can
easily enjoy the beautiful Kona beaches just across the
street.
