Kona Joe Coffee, Big Island

Kona Joe coffee is grown, as they say, like wine. It is grown on trellis using the same techniques that are used on vineyards. This is what makes Kona Joe coffee unique. Established in 1994, the Kona Joe coffee farm encompasses 20 acres in the Big Island's Kona coffee district on the foothills of the Mauna Loa volcano.

Farm tours are offered daily on request. The free tour includes an 8-minute video followed by a self-guided walking tour. The guided tour is $15 for adults ($6 for children 12 and under) and includes a Kona Joe coffee mug, 14 oz cup of Kona coffee, a guided tour of their facilities and coffee and chocolate tastings.

I really enjoy our visit and the coffee is great. They also have a great rub made with the coffee. I used it in everything.I would really like more. Can't seem to find it on the site. The owners were wonderful and we all got this great mug.
